Chernobyle Children's Project
On the 8th July, 2005 Ballon has a visit from this group where an Interactive Pet Shop Show was put on for the children in the Community Hall.
Breda Aylward, PRO for the Project and Patsy Stapleton the Project Leader advised that the Carlow branch of the Outreach Group had hosted familes in the County for the last ten years. This year they have 21 children, aged 7 to 16 for a month and three children for three months.
They say that the children really benefit and improve from their stay.
