On the 23rd July, an important event took place in Dublin when Jonathan Castle of Pheasants Rise, Ballykealey, Ballon was called to the Bar by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Mr Justice Frank Clarke. Jonathan graduated from the Honourable Society of Kings Inns during a serious yet simple service with nine other students.
Their achievements were despite the conflict of Covid, which robbed them of Face to Face tuition, and the benefits of being in a class sharing ideas and camaraderie.
Jonathan was educated at Gaelscoil Eoghain Ui Thuarisc and Gaelcholaiste Ceatharlach before commencing a Business and Law degree at UCD and before continuing to complete his Barrister-at-Law degree.
Jonathan’s parents are Helen and Alister Castle, well known in the village, and he has a younger sister Ysobel.
Full marks to Jonathan and his classmates for all their hard work in their studies and achievements.
