Visit to the village of Minister Heather Humphreys. First to Ballon Businness and Training Centre and then for a tree planting ceremony in our mature walkway.

Shona said:

Heather came and viewed the business centre and saw all we could offer pre Covid and what we still have to offer as we adapt it to post Covid.

We have a fantastic location and great use of space, we can adapt to any surroundings and with a little help we can adapt it to move with the times to enable people to work remotely, hold classes again safely and update our existing equipment.

She was very pleased with our services and how we are still operating in these tough times and working together as a community.

Eileen said:

Minister at Department of Rural & Community Development  Heather Humphreys, Fine Gael visited Ballon today to see projects funded under Towns & Villages Scheme. She visited Ballon Business & Training Centre which received €96,000 for the R-Innovate Programme and Ballon Improvement Group who got €26,000 for their Heritage Trail and €3,860 under the Accelerated Fund.  She also announced today a further funding of €15, 220 to set up a Connected Hub in Ballon Business & Training Centre. Minister Humphreys then plantes a tree on the Heritage Trail on St. Peter & Paul’s Walkway to mark the support of the Towns and Village Scheme.
