On Sunday 14th September Fr. Brendan Howard underwent the
Rite of Installation as Parish Priest, by
The Most Reverent Dr James Moriarty
Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin,
in Rathoe and Ballon.

Here is a record of the event in Ballon Church.

The Bishop said that today the diocese and the parish celebrates with joy and hope the installation of Rev. Fr. Brendan Howard as parish priest of Ballon and Rathoe. By virtue of his priestly Ordination he is set apart in a special way to work in close collaboration with the bishop and his brother priests in building up God's Kingdom on earth. Fr Howard accepted before the bishop and the people his readiness to undertake this office and to fulfil it to the best of his ability through the Symbols of Office previously brought to the altar by people of the parish.
