‘COCKS WIN LOCAL DERBY FIXTURE:
(Narrative by Michael Dawson 25/4/04)

The Fighting Cocks posted a 1.9 to 0.4 win over Ballon in the Carlow FL Div. 3 at The ‘Cocks on Saturday evening, April 24. In this local derby game Ballon always struggled to match their opponents and were 0.2 to 1.4 in arrears by the interval. On resumption The ’Cocks picked up pretty much where they left off adding five more points to collect their first league points of the new season rather easier than they would have expected.

Paul has a special request - 8/5/02 - please clarify the years of the photos and if any of the names etc are incorrect. In particular the youth team as I don't know all their names. Also there is a photo somewhere of a Ballon Minor team which won the Minor B Championship in 1993 I think. No one on the GAA club committee has a copy of this. Can you put this query on the site? Someone out there must have a copy of this.
