The O'Gorman Mahons
The football clubs of Carlow,
I will pray you lend an ear,
And listen to these football lines,
I mean to let you hear,
It's how those Gaelic Championships,
Which I will let you know,
Which was well won,
By the O'Gomran Mahons,
From Ballon and Rathoe.

This verse was recited by Johnny Nolan during an interview with reporter Kay Smith in the local Newsletter 'The Link' in 1970.
Johnny, grandfather to Declan Nolan of Carlow Stone Centre, was then aged 85 and considered to be the oldest active man in the parish.

Has anyone the missing verses?
Which victory is being celebrated?
