Ballon / Rathoe Camogie Team and Hurlers
U-12 Camogie Final
U-10 Camogie Team Win County Championship
Yesterday evening with the choicest of weather there was held a special coaching session for our future hurlers. The National Development officer , Paude Butler, was there as well as George O'Connor the Wexford hurler. And there was no shortage of local dads and mentors urging progress from the side lines.
Yesterday evening saw the official launch of Burrin Rangers Camogie Club. Starting with outdoor training under the rare blue sky of early spring and followed by refreshment in the club house 60 registered girls started a journey of opportunity in one of the fastest field sports. As part of the world's largest amateur sporting organisations there is the opportunity to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of sporting greatness. Twelve months ago there were ten registered players and a question mark. To-day there are 60 and great ambition to succeed. This is a measure of entrepreneurial sporting ambition made possible by a lot of hard work and good will by so many individuals and clubs.
Last night in a club house full to capacity awards were given to.... the U10 Girl's camogie C champions..........to the U12 C championship runners up..........the recently qualified trainers.
