Carlow Person of the Year - Youth Work
......to a packed assembly of 410 sponsors, supporters and socially skilled contributors to society.
The MC for the night was Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh of RTE who was able to probe below the natural modesty of the nine Persons and show how their care and skills prompted their supporters towards this night of recognition.
There is more good in the world than the media would have us believe and last night's individual citations could only strike a chord of humility and hope for our futures.
So thanks to Rehab, the organising committee and the sponsors for a thoughtful evening with good company, good music and good craic.
